Stockholm's Culture Festival is showing DAY OF THE HOMINID and another short film at an outdoor event on Sergels Torg on Wednesday, the 17th and Saturday, the 20th of August between 8.30pm and 11.30pm.You can also see it at Uppsala Konserthus on Oct 1, but tickets for this event cost 50SEK.

DAY OF THE HOMINID (Den Svarta Sjön) won the First Prize at VIDEOGUD Videokonstfestival!Watch it for free this summer at videostations in Dalarna, Gävleborg and Uppland.
The documentary SUBURBAN MADNESS we produced has made it as far as into Amnesty International HQ here in London!
Studio Upstairs have organised an event full of films and photography from last year's World Mental Health Day.

At the club night Lilla Ukraina, Valla Torg, Stockholm, on May 6th.
In the official selection at Urban Nomad Film Fest, Taiwan on May 6th.
It competes at VIDEOGUD Videokonstfestival (Video Art Festival) in Falun, Sweden.
An Evening of Happy Endings in New York. A retrospective of our films at Veronica People's Club in Greenpoint, Brooklyn.
Screens at the New Gallery, Peckham, in connection with London's Alternative Press Festival's Swedish Collection.

Mine and Kolbeinn Karlsson's second collaboration, Day of the Hominid, is not yet completed, but already it's been accepted to the Svenska Bilder (Swedish Images) section at the 34th Göteborg International Film Festival. The festival, said to be the leading festival in Scandinavia, takes place in Gothenburg, Sweden, between January 28 - February 7.November 2010
Mine and Kolbeinn Karlsson's first collaboration, Sleeping and Dreaming of Food, will screen as part of the European Competition at Unlimited Film Festival in Cologne, Germany, on Friday November 26. I'll be there, so come and say hello!October 2010
I have now produced an award-winning documentary! First we received the Best Carnival Movie prize at the Luksuz Film Festival in Trška Gora, Slovenia. Then another one dropped in at the 37th Jornada Internacional da cinema da Bahia in Brazil; The Revelation Prize.At the Uframe International Academic Video Festival in A Coruńa, Spain, we made it to the five finalists in the documentary category and we're just happy to have been selected out of hundreds of entries for the 1st Annual Hackney Film Festival and for the Shortmoves festival in Halle, Germany - where only 20 films were selected out of 375!

I've spent the last couple of months in Sweden, working on another animation with Kolbeinn Karlsson and Kallioinia. The project is now in post-production until the end of the year. At least we managed to attract the local press. And made the front cover!Our first collaboration resulted in the 8 minute long Sleeping and Dreaming of Food and this will screen at Branchage Film Festival in Jersey, Channel Islands, in September.

Both The Theory and Suburban Madness have been selected for the Luksuz Film Festival in Trška Gora near Krško (Slovenia). The festival runs between August 20-21st. Free camping will be available.June 2010

The documentary, Suburban Madness, that I produced last year will compete at the Brazilian film festival IGUACINE - Festival de Cinema da Cidade de Nova Iguaçu in April. This will be the official world premiere and we're pleased that the film will return to Rio de Janeiro (where the film was shot just over a year ago) for the occasion.February 2010

The animation based on Kolbeinn Karlsson's comic screened at Uppsala Short Film Festival last month and received an honorary mention. It's screening again on the 19th at Stockholm Film Festival as part of the 1 km film screening.I'm one of ten directors nominated for the swedish scholarship 1 km film.

KonstStudio is built and launched. (Please let me know if you notice something that doesn't work or look right. It's my first attempt to build a website.)I just finished a portrait painting which was given to the couple as a wedding gift. My next challenge will be photographing a wedding in Sweden next weekend.
